ICA signs training agreement 1 November 2016 Gary Price and Isabel Roos Isa Carstens Academy (ICA) has signed a training agreement with Venus Concept Africa (Pty) Ltd, the distributor of radiofrequency energy based medical aesthetic devices.
One of the key focus areas in ICA’s recently launched Advanced Diploma in Somatology is the inclusion of modules relating to the use of technology devices for treatment of skin and body conditions.
Says ICA MD, Isabel Roos: “As Venus Concept are leaders in their field, we chose them as training partners for this important and in demand skills set. We are thrilled at the prospect of elevating the already high standard of our syllabus with the inclusion of device and technology training. There exists an increasing demand for skilled and qualified therapists who can competently and confidently meet the needs of clinic owners that want to offer comprehensive services to their client base.”
Gary Price, GM of Venus Concept Africa, adds: “ICA carries a long and respected history in the South African aesthetic industry. We are constantly receiving requests for referrals to good therapists who are able to make the transition to device-based aesthetic care, and in particular by medical doctors who practise medical aesthetics. The opportunity to provide technology training is our way of investing in the ongoing growth and success of the industry, as non-invasive energy based device treatments become increasingly popular.”
