What is Carboxytherapy & what does it treat?

Carboxytherapy Authorised Medical Centre

What is Carboxytherapy?
It consists of the subcutaneous administration of medical grade carbon dioxide (CO2) gas through localised micro puncture with a very fine needle.  The therapy is safe, non-toxic and does not produce a gas embolism, even with high doses of CO2 gas.

The CDT Evolution equipment, is medical CE and FDA approved.

Stretch marks and scars

Recent and post-partum red stretch marks and scars have shown excellent results after a few sessions of Carboxytherapy. Older stretch marks and various scars, even if not completely removed, improve significantly.

Face, Neck and Décolleté
With Carboxytherapy it is possible to treat the face, neck and décolleté, obtaining a brighter, smoother and more toned skin, with a wonderful lifting effect. At the same time it is possible to re-contour these areas by treating unwanted fatty deposits in the cheeks, neck and under the chin.
Therapeutic Indications

~ Aesthetic: cellulite, face/skin laxity, localised adiposity and body contouring, face jowls, double
chin, droopy underarms, dark circles around the eyes, anti-ageing of the face, neck and
décolleté, hands, scars, stretch marks, mons pubis reduction and liabia majora rejuvenation.

~ Dermatology: acne and scarring, psoriasis, varicose and diabetic ulcers.

~ Plastic surgery: pre/post liposuction and skin bio- rejuvenation.

~ Gynaecology: Assists in bladder control plus improves sexual dysfunction, vaginal dryness,
   libido and sexual satisfaction.

~ Phlebology: lymphatic and venous insufficiency, diabetic ulcers and wounds.

~ Circulation: pripheral arteriopathy and microangiopathy ,
   Raynaud’s syndrome and acrocyanosis.

~ Androlgy: erectile dysfunction of microangiopathic

aetiology.

Cellulite and body-contouring

Disturbance of the microcirculation, tissue metabolism and the lymphatic drainage can cause the skin condition commonly called cellulite – ‘orange peel’ look, dimpled or bumpy appearance primarily around the thighs and buttock area.

After Carboxytherapy, the capillaries are re-opened, the oxygen supply is increased and the metabolism, venous and lymphatic drainage are re-activated in the treated area.

After a therapeutic cycle, the aesthetic results are apparent.

Skin Laxity
The initial results are visible after only a few sessions – the colour, texture and quality is improved and the tone of the dermis is increased resulting in a firmer, revitalised appearance.

The Carboxytherapy results on the circulation system are not only functional with lighter legs after the first session, but also aesthetic.

Wound Care
Carboxytherapy has positive effects on blood circulation as it increases the oxygenation of the tissues treated with medical CO2.
Carboxytherapy helps ulcers of all types; venous and arterial insufficiency and decubitus wounds. Post operative wounds heal faster and with less scarring and less keloid formation.
