 Certificates of Free Sale

Companies exporting personal care products from South Africa are often asked for by foreign customers or overseas government departments to supply certification relating to the products being shipped.

These certificates are required in a growing number of countries that need assurance that products exported from South Africa are the same as products that are sold in the local South African market, presumably meeting all Regulations and Standards that assure consumer safety requirements.

Exports to certain countries need to be accompanied by a valid certificate, or the product may not be admitted, or cleared by customs at destination.

At the CTFA in the capacity, ex officio, the Executive Director, is duly authorised to sign Certificates of Free Sale for Member Companies attesting Member Company Registration and Membership Validation and the product list. The Member requirement is requested by way of a Formal Undertaking from the Member Company.

Certificates of Free Sale are available to Association Members only.
