EPMU is a new, more recent and fashionable technique than traditional permanent make-up (PMU). With EPMU no machine is needed, as it is completely performed by hand.
It provides a more natural appearance, especially for the eyebrows, which look more real. EPMU colour last longer than PMU as the method tattoos the colour into the skin at an angle and therefore deeper, which can eliminate touch-ups.
Moreover, EPMU significantly reduces the pain compared to PMU and is often called the “soft touch” approach.
The Difference between PMU and EPMU:
PMU utilizes a tattooing machine using a needle in reciprocating motion to bring the tattoo colour into the epidermis.
EPMU is a hand embroidery method that utilizes a Magic Tool consisting of a single 6, double 6 or single 12 prong needle, which effectively make desirable lines for eye line, lip line and eyebrows. As the hand controls the depositing of colours into the epidermis, the skin recovers faster.
