PMSSA is a society that promotes its members and has the public’s interest in mind.

Permanent Makeup Society South Africa (PMSSA) believes that a Permanent Makeup Society is not just for permanent makeup technicians but it is there for the public to be informed on permanent makeup procedures, which includes the do’s and don’ts, newest trends, latest techniques and a network of available technicians in all the different areas whom have been properly trained in the Advance Techniques associated with Permanent Makeup Technology. 

PMSSA is to serves the public by improving the quality of Permanent Makeup Procedures through a certification process that promotes excellence and encourages continuous learning with the direct intend to provide assurance to the public and the members of the society that a certified permanent makeup technician has completed an accredited course of education in micro-pigmentation (permanent makeup) and an evaluation including an examination.

The evaluation is designed to assess the knowledge, experience and skills requisite to the delivery of high standards of quality client care in permanent makeup.

PMSSA is a non-profit society which forms part of Permanent Makeup Technology and is in association with MPSI. Board membership is strictly voluntary and eligibility involves five years of practice, written exam, oral exam and a practical exam.

Membership fee to be listed with PMSSA is R500 per annum.

Qualified Permanent Makeup Specialists who would like to become a member of PMSSA will need to complete out questionnaire and application form available on our website.
