Become a Nail Technician through Star Nail

STAR NAIL offer internationally recognised nail technician courses. STAR NAIL also offer intensive training at Head Office in Pretoria with the objective to place qualified nail technicians in the workplace fully trained and ready to work

Target Market:
~ Qualified nail techs looking for a job who are not up to standard

~ Qualified nail technicians that want to do final touches before they start working in a salon.

~ Qualified nail technicians already working in a salon and need more training to be up to standard.

What Star Nail will do:

An educator will assist the student during the 3 days training and will advise the student on a continuous basis. The aim is to train the student in such a way that she will be able to do the following: an overlay in one hour 10 minutes (Acrylic and Gel)
French set of nails in 1 hour 15 min

How are we doing it?

Models will be available for 3 days for the student to work on. The first model will sit for the time that is needed to show the student how to do a set of nails correctly (2 hours). The next model will sit for 1 hour 45 minutes and the student needs to bring the time down to 1 hour 15 minutes after 3 days. Star Nail will supply the product and the student must bring her own accessories to work with as well as the first model. After the 3 days of intense training the student will ready to be placed in a salon.

Costs: the costing for the training is R2 000.00 payable in advance.

Complete Beginners Course Developed in such a way that on completion students will have knowledge of all the systems of Star Nail products namely: gel, acrylic and fiberglass, and will be fully equipped to start a career in the Nail Industry. Throughout the training the student will receive a complete product and accessory kit to keep her going with the current system she is busy with. Manual and examination fee is included
Duration: 6 months. Student will have an internationally recognised qualification. * The periods between training is only a recommended guideline and will be used by the student to gain practical experience. Should students need additional assistance during this period, they may return to the Training Center at no additional cost. Course Breakdown: 5 days training at our training center will cover the following: ~ Day 1 & 2: Product Knowledge, Theory and Tip Application ~ Day 3 & 4: Practical Application. Model needed on this day ~ Day 5: Theory and Maintenance * 8 Weeks after this, student will return to the Training Centre to complete the training by doing the Theoretical and Practical Examination. After successful completion of exam, certificate will be issued. Cost: R9 000.00 Individual Systems Developed for students who want to learn only one system of the Star Nail systems. Manual and examination fee is included. Duration: 3 days Course Breakdown & Costs: ~ T3 Fibergel � R5 200,00 ~ Acrylic � R4 200.00 ~ Acrygel � R5 500,00 After successful completion of the exam, a certificate will be issued
Conversion Training The training is structured as Workshops and is aimed at Qualified Nail Technicians who wish to learn a Star Nail System � proof of qualification will be required. Duration: 2 Hours Course Breakdown:
Introduction and demonstration of the product. Student will then practice with the product in class while the educator supervises and answers questions. An attendance certificate will be issued Cost: R500.00 for the kit, training is for free. Assessment for Re-Issuing of Star Nail Certificates For Nail Technicians who have qualified with Star Nail but need to be re-issued certificate/s. Duration: 2 Hours or more � depends on nail system and nail technician Course Breakdown: Assessment can be done at the Training Centre or at the Salon. Students bring model, own product and accessories, etc. After successful completion of the assessment, a certificate will be issued Cost: R500.00 per student per system. Educators Training Programme This course is aimed at qualified nail technicians (for 3 years or more) who wish to start an exciting career as an Educator in the Nail Care Industry. The course covers all the Star Nail systems namely: Gel (kapping, building, fibre-gel, acrygel & soak-off colour gel) and Acrylic (original, ultimate lyte & dipping). The course includes all training materials Duration: 5 consecutive days Course Breakdown: ~ Educator�s theory & product knowledge (day 1 & 2) ~ Product applications (day 3) ~ Student�s theory (day 4 & 5) ~ Theoretical & Practical Exam (day 5) Educator Courses takes place at Head Office in Pretoria and a date will be set according to availability. We limit our student numbers to ensure that you receive undivided attention. Details available from Head Office. Cost on request.
Manicure & Pedicure Course The course covers all aspects of manicures and pedicures. The course includes a full kit as well as certification. Duration: 3 consecutive days Course Breakdown: ~ Theory � day 1 ~ Practical � day 2 & 3 After completion a certificate will be issued. Cost: R4 600.00 All costs subject to change
